Peace Logic

International and local security must be respected and established through non-violent conflict resolution.

The armament of states, the willingness to use war as a means of enforcing one's own interests, the unmanageable provision of conflict parties with weapons as well as the private possession of weapons are an expression of a logic that believes it is possible to achieve security by means of violence. In our opinion, this logic massively stands in the way of giving priority to civil and non-violent solutions. We need to rethink security and make the longer-term, more arduous but more sustainable path of non-violent solutions a realistic and globally respected alternative.
