Newsletter December 2023
###USER_name###,
in Christian countries, we are preparing for Christmas, remembering Jesus who was born in Bethlehem. And we are shocked by the violence in this region, in Israel and Palestine, and mourn the many dead.
In our partner organisation Combatants for Peace, Israelis and Palestinians work non-violently for a peaceful solution and coexistence on an equal footing. Even when violence prevails. Especially then. In October and December, Osama Eliwat and Rotem Levin were in Bremen and gave impressive talks and discussions. We report on a visit to schools in Bremen and share further information from the region.
Our project partner No Name Kitchen reports on the situation of a family from Gaza who are stranded at the Bosnian-Croatian border.
We see the great interest in our Peace Prize as a glimmer of hope in these violent times. Voting for the Award of the Donors will continue until 10 January. Donate and decide who will be honoured for peace, reconciliation and justice in 2024. More information here: AWARD OF THE DONORS The shortlist can be found here in the newsletter or you can download the Donor Award brochure as a PDF file. BROCHURE
