many people have already voted for the Award of the Donors. It is an exciting process, and even we at the foundation do not know which of the five projects will ultimately receive the Bremen Peace Award. You have until 10 January to help decide which initiative will receive the 2026 International Bremen Peace Award. All donors who have donated at least 30 Euro (or more) to the work of the die schwelle Foundation in 2025 are eligible to vote.

Choose your favourite from this list and send your vote by email to the die schwelle Foundation: info[at]dieschwelle.de. Each donor has one vote, which can be cast until 10 January 2026.  

In our December newsletter, we also report on initiatives and events that, in an environment increasingly characterised by violence and war, show that there are alternative approaches that offer signs of hope despite everything: The articles deal with the human right to freedom of movement for conscientious objectors from Ukraine and other countries, conscientious objection and desertion in Russia, and the "Believers for Peace" conference that took place in Omiš, Croatia, in October.
