Newsletter November 2023
###USER_name###,
The violence in the Middle East gives us no peace. We see the suffering and fears of the Israeli people in the face of the brutal assault and rocket fire by Hamas. We see the suffering and fears of the Palestinian people, in the face of the bombardments and the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. On 24 October, we had an impressive event with two representatives from our Israeli-Palestinian partner organisation Combatants for Peace here in Bremen. They reported on the current situation and their deep conviction to stand up nonviolently for a just coexistence. The last newsletter from the Combatants for Peace from October 19 can be found below, in our last newsletter we had already sent the previous statement of the Combatants before Peace: Statement
The applications for the International Bremen Peace Award are a glimmer of hope in the current situation: we see with how much commitment and competence people around the world are working for peace, justice and reconciliation. From the applications received for organisations, the Foundation's Board of Trustees has drawn up a shortlist from which you, the Foundation's donors, can help to choose the winner. More information here: AWARD OF THE DONORS You can find the shortlist in the newsletter here or you can download the Donor Award Brochure as a PDF file: BROCHURE.
Best regards
