In a public event with more than 300 guests, the International Bremen Peace Award was presented on May 31, 2024 in the historic Bremen Town Hall. Music was provided by pupils from the Kurt-Schumacher-Allee secondary school and world musician Willy Schwarz with his colleague Mohsen Nejadi Kakavand.

Bremen's former mayor Karoline Linnert gave the laudatory speech.
