The healing of violent conflicts needs the perception of different perspectives and encounters between the actors in order to shape the future without violence.
Encounter and reconciliation are important steps towards peace. We are convinced that sensitive encounter needs to be learned and enables a non-violent path to peace.
Therefore, conflict transformation and reconciliation are important to us – whether it is about coming to terms with the German past, or with past dictatorial systems (e.g. in Chile) or past wars (of the countries of the former Yugoslavia but also between the globally acting imperial powers), dialogue work in Israel and Palestine, social integration of refugees and minorities, interreligious work, training of peace workers or peace education.
Partner organisations such as RAND in Croatia or Combatants for Peace in Israel and Palestine work in the field.
