In a public event with more than 200 guests, the International Bremen Peace Award was presented on 20 May 2022 in the historic Bremen Town Hall. Music was provided by pupils from the Kurt-Schumacher-Allee secondary school and world musician Willy Schwarz.
Bremen's former mayor Karoline Linnert gave the laudatory speech.
